Union Bank first operated as the Sac & Fox Bank and General Store on September 22, 1891. Union Bank was one of several Bank and General Stores that were founded before statehood by P.O. Hoffman, E.L. Conklin, and J.B. Charles. In 1892, the bank became known as the Hoffman, Charles, and Conklin Private Bank, and was renamed Union National Bank upon earning a national charter on May 5, 1902. July 1, 1999, the bank name was changed to Union Bank of Chandler and is currently operating under an Oklahoma State Charter.
